在各方共同努力下，国际奥委会和北京奥组委联合授权项目——《第29届奥林匹克运动会世界邮票大全》纪念邮册与大家见面了。我代表北京奥组委，向《第29届奥林匹克运动会世界邮票大全》纪念邮册的出版发行表示热烈祝贺。
文化是奥林匹克运动的三大支柱之一。奥运邮票是奥运文化的重要组成部分。从1896年第一枚奥运邮票诞生以来，奥林匹克邮票于方寸间记载了现代奥林匹克运动的风云轨迹，弘扬了奥林匹克追求和平友谊进步的崇高理想。成为向世界各国人民传播奥林匹克精神和文化的重要载体。为推动奥林匹克运动发展、增进世界各国人民文化交流与友谊发挥了重要作用。
大力实施“绿色奥运、科技奥运、人文奥运”三大理念，弘扬奥林匹克和世界各民族先进文化，增进中外人民交流与友谊，是举办一届“有特色、高水平”奥运会的重要内容。《第29届奥林匹克运动会世界邮票大全》纪念邮册，收录了中国邮政和100多个国家和地区为北京奥运会专门发行的邮票，收录了世界各国以奥运文化的珍贵史料为素材制作的纪念张。纪念邮册从独特的视角，表达了中国人民对奥运的热切期盼和对世界各国人民的友好之情。体现了世界各国人民对奥林匹克运动和北京奥运会的美好祝福。它是中国人民与世界各国人民友谊的见证，是弘扬奥林匹克精神、传播世界各民族先进文化的平台，是北京奥运会留给中国和世界的宝贵遗产。

Preface to Official World-Wide Postage Stamp Collection
for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad

With the concerted efforts of all quarters, “Official World-Wide Postage Stamp Collection for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad” was published, authorized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG). I, on behalf of BOCOG, would like to extend ardent congratulations to the publication of this stamp album.
Culture is one of the three mainstays of the Olympic Movement, while the Olympic stamps are an important component of the Olympic culture. Since the first one published in 1896, the Olympic stamps have recorded the development of modern Olympic Games and promoted the lofty Olympic ideal of pursuing peace, friendship and progress. As major carriers for the dissemination of the Olympic spirit and culture to the whole world, they have played a key role in advancing the Olympic Movement and enhancing cultural exchanges and friendship among all peoples of the world.
Beijing has energetically implemented the concepts of Green Olympic Games, High-tech Olympic Games and People’s Olympic Games, promoted the advanced cultures of the Olympic Movement and peoples around the world, and strengthened exchanges and friendship between China and the rest of the world to host a high-level Olympic Games with distinguishing features. “Official World-Wide Postage Stamp Collection for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad ”collects stamps from China and over a hundred other countries and regions specially published for the Beijing Olympic Games and commemorative sheets drawing materials from precious historical data about the Olympic culture. The album demonstrates from a special perspective the Chinese people’s fervent anticipation for the Olympic Games and friendship toward all peoples of the world, and expresses the best wishes of peoples around the world for the Olympic Movement and Beijing Olympic Games. The album serves as a testimony to the friendship between the Chinese and other peoples of the world, a platform for developing the Olympic spirit and disseminating all advanced cultures, and a precious legacy left by the Beijing Olympic Games to China and the world.
The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Paralympics are soon to be inaugurated in Beijing, China. All countries and peoples of the world will share the joy and charm of the Beijing Olympic Games under the theme of “One World One Dream.” We are making elaborate and meticulous preparations for the arrival of our friends. The “Official World-Wide Postage Stamp Collection for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad” is a special gift presented to you before the opening of the Beijing Olympic Games. The concepts and hopes carried in the album along with the high-level Beijing Olympic Games with distinguishing features will be recorded in the history of the international Olympic Movement and the history of world post. |
